David P. Montesanti, MD
Board-Certified Ophthalmologist
"Ophthalmology is a very intriguing field because,
just as every person is an individual, every eye is different and challenging."
Dr. Montesanti, a board-certified ophthalmologist, has been
on staff at ECVA since July 2002. He completed his residency
in ophthalmology at SUNY Buffalo and his internship in internal
medicine at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo. A graduate
of SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, where he also received a
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Dr. Montesanti received his undergraduate
degree in chemistry from SUNY Buffalo. He is a member of the
American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New York Ophthalmological
Society, the American Medical Association and the I-E-A International
Medical Honor Society.
His achievements include several published articles and numerous
awards, including the Francis J. Klocke Award for excellence
in clinical investigation and the Harry and Loretta J. Jordan
Award for proficiency in ophthalmology and ophthalmological research
from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine, as well as the National
Science Foundation Graduate Student Recognition Award.
He is a graduate of Williamsville East High
School. He resides in Clarence with his wife, Jacqueline, and
their
children: Benjamin, Anna and twins, Katherine and Jonathan.
Dr. Montesanti sees patients at ECVA's Downtown Buffalo, Niagara
Falls and Williamsville offices. |
