Dr. Gormley had been a practicing physician for more than 30 years. He was an emergency room physician before entering a career in private practice ophthalmology in 1969. Licensed in the state of New York, Dr. Gormley is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a member of the New York State Ophthalmological Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Niagara County Medical Society, and he is affiliated with Memorial Medical Center and Mount St. Mary’s Hospital. A native of Niagara Falls, Canada, Dr. Gormley attended Niagara University and the University of Ottawa for his undergraduate work, and the University of Ottawa Medical School, where he received his MD in 1964. Dr. Gormley completed an internship at St. Francis Hospital in Hawaii and his residency in ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Gormley sees patients at ECVA’s Niagara Falls office, where his practice has been located since 1971. He resides in Williamsville, NY with his wife, Faith. Dr. Gormley also has three children and two grandchildren.
