William A. Butka, OD Licensed Optometrist "Eyesight is a very precious gift; one that must be preserved and cared for as long as possible." Dr. Butka has been a practicing optometrist for more than 30 years. After receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1972 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry – where he also received his Bachelor of Science degree – Dr. Butka was in private practice in Cheektowaga for 15 years before joining a West Seneca practice and then coming to ECVA in May 2000. A member of the New York State Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association, Dr. Butka received his AAS in Ophthalmic Science from Erie Community College, his DPA certification in 1978 and his TPA certification in 2001. Dr. Butka is also certified by the International Boards of Examiners in Optometry Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. A Buffalo native, Dr. Butka currently resides in Centerville, NY. He sees patients at ECVA’s Elmwood Avenue and Southtowns offices.
